Nicky Stean is Development Producer at Public Dreams Ltd., based in London.

Nicky has worked on multiple feature films including Andrea Arnold’s WUTHERING HEIGHTS and Sam Taylor-Johnson’s NOWHERE BOY.  She started out as a television script editor working on BBC1 drama MISTRESSES before moving into film and television development.  Nicky worked at Ecosse Films for many years developing films including Christopher Smith’s medieval cult horror BLACK DEATH, starring Eddie Redmayne, and Julian Jarrold’s VE day feelgood A ROYAL NIGHT OUT. She co-produced Joel Hopkins’ HAMPSTEAD starring Diane Keaton and Brendan Gleeson before moving back into Television with acclaimed BBC serial LIFE IN SQUARES staring Eve Best and James Norton.
